New Frontiers Health Force
2007 marks a milestone for New Frontiers Health Force as we celebrate a decade of ministry. It is hard to believe that in 1997, I sat in Chili’s restaurant with four of my dear friends and shared a vision to take medical care around the world. They did not think my dream was absurd but rather they said, “Let’s do it!” And so the journey began.
Over the years, we have been involved in sharing the love of Christ through short-term medical projects, clinics and disaster relief. We have sent close to 60 teams to the far reaching corners of the globe on a mission to give quality health care and the hope of Christ. We have given literally millions of dollars of supplies and support to countless organizations, partners, missionaries, and churches.
We are now looking ahead to the next decade. We believe God has given us a new directive for NFHF which involves three very specific areas:
1. Establish our boundaries—we will be establishing the work of Medical One, our mobile health care unit that provides free services to those who don’t have medical insurance, with bi-monthly clinics for the remainder of 2007.
2. Make disciples—we are developing a primary care training program that will be taught to health care workers in Third world countries. We will combine spiritual principles with medical teaching to impart critical knowledge to help raise the standard of care.
3. Fruit that remains—we are in the process of developing our plans to build a clinic. The goal would be to build a clinic along with a church to eventually turn it over to the nationals.
It is an exciting time for us as I hear that sentiment echoed again for the next decade from our partners like you, “Let’s do it!” Thank you for allowing me to dream big. We covet your prayers as we move forward in what the Lord has directed. Rev. 7:9-10
