Hong Kong YWAM
Faby Ruesga is from Mexico and joined YWAM in 1995, doing her DTS in YWAM EL Paso-Juarez in 1995. Faby served mainly in the area of training and Performing Arts.
In 1997 God put in her heart the nation of China . God made the way for her to join a program for 8 months in Hong Kong , traveling and sharing the Gospel throughout Asia with drama & dance. The Lord spoke to me about coming back to Hong Kong and start a Performing Arts DTS with focus on Asia . The Lord opened a door for me to pioneer the school here with YWAM Hong Kong. I have been in Hong Kong since 2003. I can see God’s amazing creativity and faithfulness in bringing a MEXICAN to be part of the change of history in the nations of ASIA ! What a privilege!
What my ministry involves:
· Leading the Performing Arts Discipleship Training School once a year
· Being part of the Leadership Team to give input and vision to what we want YWAM Hong Kong to be.
· Overseeing the areas of: Food Services, Housing, Hospitality, & Performing Tools for Evangelism
· Organizing Drama workshops in the local churches and public schools, teaching basis of arts through Christian principles
· Teaching in our Drama workshops
· Teaching in our School of Frontier Missions about Spiritual Mapping
· Teaching in our Discipleship Training School , focus on the Chinese World about Intercession
· Leading Worship once a week during our corporate times of worship
· Run the English For Mission School (focus for Asians who want to be involved in ministry and need to learn language & culture to share the Gospel effectively)
· Teaching in the Basic Leadership School for the staff.
I know God has given me, as a Mexican, the responsibility to challenge the many “Latin” people in my own nation to GO to the un-reached! I pray that my life will leave a legacy and a mark that God is faithful to everyone when we step up to the call that He has set in our lives! I know that God will continue to bring many Mexicans to the 10/40 window. My life is just the beginning of what He wants to do through the Latin people in the nations of the world!
